Why can’t AI just rule this world already?
The Next Generation of Research on IS Use: A Theoretical Framework of Delegation to and from Agentic IS Artifacts:
We argue that a new generation of “agentic” IS artifacts requires revisiting the human agency primacy assumption. Agentic IS artifacts are no longer passive tools waiting to be used, are no longer always subordinate to the human agent, and can now assume responsibility for tasks with ambiguous requirements and for seeking optimal outcomes under uncertainty.
This quote actually kind of resonates with my RP draft, in which I argue that we should give AI a chance to decide when to hand over power to experts. At this point, I’m not trying to convince others that letting AI decide is better; I just want to see if AI can do it satisfactorily.

I now have a clear framework for my literature review:
- Why dynamic?
- What does this dynamic structure affect in order to shape the outcome?
I think my RP focuses too much on why this structure needs to be dynamic, and I haven’t put enough emphasis on identifying the mediators and moderators. But is that really a big problem? This is honestly killing me.
